The android operating system is the fastest growing one among any handheld device operating systems.

The major issue peoples face is the performance degradation with the device.

I am using android 2.1 sony ericsson xperia x10 mini pro. I felt very bad when I installed lot of apps into fone and saw it was dead slow.
I have 16gb memory card inserted.

Why android device is too slow

Here are the reasons,
Many apps are currently running.
Internal memory full
External memory filled with maximum files and less memory.

So, even if you run a single large app or many smaller apps you can see the memory and processing consumed by android device.

To make faster follow these steps

Step 1: use application killer like android optimizer or task killer apps to close the apps properly. Otherwise it will run behind your screen by consuming some memory.

Step 2: Always keep your internal memory most free.simple methods are always store images and videos. Into external memory. There are apps which can be used to move the installed apps to external memory.

Step 3: Try to keep very less number of files in internal and external memory. Because its not just the matter of file size.but also file count. When there is many number of files, the small device feels difficulty in indexing the files. If you need to keep many files, just compress it as a zip or rar package.

Step 4: the unofficial tip is, switch off the device atleast once a week.
